Dante Moore wins Ducks Wire Player of the Game after career performance vs. Oregon State

The Oregon Ducks got out to a bit of a slow start in the highly anticipated Civil War matchup with the Oregon State Beavers. After a quick touchdown drive to begin the game, they went over a quarter without a score.

But once they found the rhythm that they seemed to lose last week, they could not be stopped, putting another 34 points on the board in about two quarters of game time. Much like the first two weeks of the season, everyone that took the field for the Ducks seemed to impact the game in a major way.

But there can only be one Ducks Wire Player of the Game, and that honor goes to quarterback Dante Moore this week. It was easily his best game this season as he threw for a career-high four passing touchdowns.

After having just 34 rushing yards in the first three weeks combined, Moore exploded for 53 yards on the ground against the Beavers. With 305 yards through the air, the young quarterback finished with over 350 total yards in perhaps the most dominant performance in his career to this point.

Aside from a few hiccups in the middle of the field, Moore showed you everything you’d want to see from a relatively inexperienced conductor of one of the most talented offenses in college football. He is humming at the right time as the Ducks prepare to head down to Happy Valley for one of the biggest matchups in the nation this year against Penn State.
