Alabama's AP Poll ranking revealed ahead of massive Week 5 matchup

Ahead of a massive Week 5 showdown, the latest AP Poll ranking for the Alabama Crimson Tide has been revealed.

Released on Sunday afternoon, Alabama has been ranked as the nation’s No. 17 overall team in the latest AP Poll, dropping a total of three spots despite not playing Saturday due to a bye week.

This move is similar to what occurred Sunday in the US LBM Coaches Poll, where Alabama dropped two spots down to No. 16 nationally.

Alabama’s next game will come this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 27, in what is likely their toughest test yet on the road at Georgia. Kickoff for the game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Bulldogs were ranked as the nation’s No. 5 overall team in Sunday’s latest AP Poll, not moving following their bye week. Georgia is currently unbeaten at 3-0 overall, as well as 1-0 in SEC play.
