State of Florida college football wrapup: Miami handles Gators, UCF clubs North Carolina

The Miami Hurricanes handle the Florida Gators. And UCF lays waste to North Carolina. Here’s this week’s USA Today Florida Sports Network state college football weekend wrapup.

Miami 26, Florida 7

The Miami Hurricanes used a punishing ground to overwhelm the Florida Gators 26-7.

Mark Fletcher and CharMar Brown combined for 196 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

The Gators head into a bye week prior to meeting Texas, and all eyes will be fixed on Gainesville to see if this is the week Billy Napier is relieved of his duties.

UCF 34, North Carolina 9

UCF cruised past the Bill Belichick-led North Carolina Tar Heels 34-9.

FSU 66, Kent State 10

The Seminoles waylaid Kent State 66-10.
