Chiefs DT Chris Jones savagely denies jersey swap with former Steelers QB Russell Wilson

Former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson is going viral — and it’s not just for his terrible Sunday Night Football performance.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Week 3 win over the New York Giants, veteran DT Chris Jones ripped Wilson for failing to make a jersey swap over the years. When asked if he was finally looking to make the trade with Wilson, Jones followed up with a savage comeback — making it clear he was done chasing the swap.

“I don’t even want it,” Jones said. “I don’t want it. Over time, you kind of understand that, now I don’t even want it. It’s love and war.”

Jones, one of the greatest defensive tackles of his generation, clearly took exception to Wilson’s hesitance to swap jerseys — but he got the last laugh in the Chiefs‘ dominant 22-9 win.

While Jones’ not-so-subtle jab made headlines, it was likely the “We want Dart” chants from Giants fans that hit Wilson the hardest. After an abysmal zero-touchdown, two-interception performance, Wilson’s seat has never been hotter — and the former Steelers quarterback’s days as a starter in the NFL may be coming to an end.
