A wild and weird Week 3 of the NFL season concluded with the Detroit Lions toppling the Baltimore Ravens in a game between top-5 teams in the Power Rankings. The Monday nighter had tough acts to follow as blocked field goals played roles in multiple finishes on Sunday. The Eagles overcame a 26-7 deficit by scoring 26 straight points, including a return of one of their two blocked field goals for a bettors’ dream — or nightmare — depending on what side one had. And then there were those Cleveland Browns, who didn’t score for 56 minutes before posting 13 points in the final 3:38 to stun the Packers.
Here’s a look at how all 32 NFL teams stack up as the season moves ahead to Week 4.
32. New Orleans Saints (0-3)
Kellen Moore has stepped into an enormous mess in New Orleans. The Saints were clobbered early and often in Seattle. This is a bad team, and all New Orleans has up next is a trip to Buffalo to face the Bills.
31. Tennessee Titans (0-3)
The Titans are terrible. They did score touchdowns after the game was out of hand against Indianapolis, so that doesn’t count for much. Cam Ward threw a quick pick-six. Sadly, that will likely happen again and again this season.
t-30. Miami Dolphins (0-3)
The Dolphins put up a fight against the Bills. That could mean Mike McDaniel has not lost the team. The final verdict on that should come on Sept. 29 when the Fish face the Jets.
t-30. New York Jets (0-3)
The Jets probably deserve a higher ranking. However, they play the Dolphins on MNF next week and the idea of having a pair of 0-3 teams locked in the Power Rankings heading into a matchup was too delicious to pass.
28. New York Giants (0-3)
The Giants hung around, but lost to a better team. A much better team. The defense did its part. The offense didn’t. Wonder how long before Brian Daboll goes to Jaxson Dart. There shouldn’t be a rush, but at some point, a winless team with Russell Wilson isn’t providing much.
27. Houston Texans (0-3)
The defending AFC South champions are three games behind the Colts in the standings. There has to be a curse of teams on the way up that win the AFC South. Look at the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.
26. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)
The Falcons are nowhere near good enough to not show up for a game, let alone a divisional road game. The team came off the win against Minnesota and were shellacked by the Carolina Panthers. If that isn’t a wakeup call for the rest of the season, nothing will be. Yes, Kirk Cousins fans, Michael Penix Jr. was so bad the veteran quarterback was sent in for mop-up duty.
25. Carolina Panthers (1-2)
This performance against the Falcons was more like what was expected from Carolina in 2025. The offense was in sync and the defense stifled Atlanta. A lot will be learned from the winnable games over the next two weeks: Carolina goes to New England then plays host to Miami.
24. New England Patriots (1-2)
The Patriots are below average—at best—and are simply not that interesting. It isn’t up to Mike Vrabel to make the team compelling. However, it is his task to turn them into contenders, and they need to win home games against teams like the Steelers to be that.
23. Las Vegas Raiders (1-2)
The Raiders had no answer for Marcus Mariota and Washington. Imagine what would have happened if Jayden Daniels was healthy.
22. Dallas Cowboys (1-2)
This is not an overreaction. The Cowboys are a miraculous home win against the New York Giants from being 0-3. Now, CeeDee Lamb is injured. Things are not going swimmingly for Brian Schottenheimer.
21. Chicago Bears (1-2)
Caleb Williams delivered a game that Bears fans were craving since he was drafted No. 1 overall last year. The Bears defense always is solid. If the offense can find its groove, the team could find itself finally. That said, these were the Cowboys. How bad are they?
20. Cleveland Browns (1-2)
Talk about a Survivor Pool shocker. The Packers allowed no points until less than four minutes were left in the game, and Cleveland scored 13 straight to win. If the offense can produce anything, the Browns could be okay. That said, this is a team that was blanked for 56 minutes by Green Bay.
19. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1)
It was tempting to make the Bengals fall deeper after the Vikings blitzed them. Zac Taylor needs to pull his team together because next week is in Denver. Joe Burrow is lost for three months, which could mean the season. Is Jake Browning the answer, or does the team have to make another move?
18. Minnesota Vikings (2-1)
Carson Wentz and the Vikings were all over the Bengals. He’s familiar with a backup QB doing wonders for a team (see Foles, Nick). Could the Vikings be better off with the veteran at QB than J.J. McCarthy?
17. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1)
The Jaguars are allowing 17 points per game, which means the defense is on point. The offense needs to step it up a bit if Liam Coen will get comfortable in any games Jacksonville plays. Travis Etienne Jr. didn’t have a huge game but he did find the end zone, again.
16. Denver Broncos (1-2)
The Broncos find themselves two games back of the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West after losing a game they trailed in but rallied to take the lead. They have the Bengals coming up next Monday, and Sean Payton’s team needs to avoid going to 1-3. Fortunately, it is Jake Browning and not Joe Burrow at QB.
15. Arizona Cardinals (2-1)
The Cardinals got a late lead on a safety when Calais Campbell was held in the end zone. They could feel 3-0 so bad they could taste it. Then the Cardinals were handled by the Niners on a late drive and the trip back to Arizona wasn’t pleasant.
14. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)
A Mike Tomlin team that plays strong enough defense to win against an AFC East also-ran. The Steelers’ two wins have come against the AFC Least duo known as the Jets and Pats. They get the Bills and Dolphins in November and December. Have to play better against the rest of the league.
13. Los Angeles Rams (2-1)
Anyone who thought the Los Angeles Rams were home free against the Philadelphia Eagles doesn’t understand what makes a team a Super Bowl champion. LA needs to get it together for Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts at SoFi.
12. Seattle Seahawks (2-1)
Seattle did what it had to do early against the Saints. They took care of business — the way good teams tend to perform.
11. Kansas City Chiefs (1-2)
The Chiefs were methodical in downing an overmatched Giants team. They are far from the great offense people once expected. Rely on defense and hope the offense can do enough to get the team a win. Also, Harrison Butker is having his issues. Not good.
10. Washington Commanders (2-1)
The Commanders had to use Marcus Mariota at quarterback, and it was not a problem against the Raiders.
9. Indianapolis Colts (3-0)
The Colts are a stunning 3-0. Jonathan Gannon made the right call with Daniel Jones. They have outscored opponents in three games by 48 points.
8. Green Bay Packers (2-1)
The Packers were about to pitch a shutout in Cleveland. The Packers have to be wondering how they wound up losing a game that was one-sided for such a lengthy part of the match. So much for them being the best team in the NFL … this week.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0)
Tampa Bay is 3-0 after a thriller against the New York Jets. The way things are going, the Bucs will have the NFC South wrapped up by midseason. Kidding … maybe.
6. Baltimore Ravens (1-2)
The Ravens made some key mistakes on offense on Monday night. Detroit shredded the defense. And now, they are faced with going to Kansas City and must beat the Chiefs in a game both teams are looking to avoid a 1-3 start.
5. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)
The 49ers win an exciting game against a division rival. This is more like the SF team people are used to seeing. And Mac Jones is the QB! Should there be concern about losing Nick Bosa for thew season? Without question.
4. Los Angeles Chargers (3-0)
The Chargers have money in the bank in Dicker the Kicker and they have a winning culture thanks to Jim Harbaugh. He has turned everything around with the Bolts. This team is 3-0 and rolling into a game at Giants Stadium with the winless Giants.
3. Detroit Lions (2-1)
The Lions played a near-perfect game on offense, orchestrating two drives of more than 90 yards for touchdowns. They menaced Lamar Jackson and forced a key fumble in the fourth quarter by Derrick Henry—a huge performance on the road.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)
It was amazing how fast cheers turned to boos back into cheers at the Linc. The blocked field goal that went for a “big man” touchdown was either the worst bad-betting beat of all time, or the mother of all covers, depending on what side you had.
1. Buffalo Bills (3-0)
The Bills have continued to trend as the NFL season moves into Week 4. Josh Allen has the offense clicking, and the defense is holding its own. And while there are no guarantees on the NFL schedule, having the New Orleans Saints next should keep the AFC East team moving in the right direction.
