Nebraska football running back target Isaiah Rogers impressed with program following visit

Nebraska football running back target Isaiah Rogers still has the Huskers high on his list of possible schools. Rivals’ Chad Simmons reported this on Monday.

The running back is the 149th overall player nationally in the 2027 class. He is the 12th overall running back in the class, and the second overall player from the state of Massachusetts, according to the Rivals Industry rankings. He is a four-star back.

Rogers has been to Lincoln twice so far this year. He also visited on April 26 for an unofficial visit. Penn State is also a notable team, as he has visited them twice. With that being said, he was impressed with his experience in Lincoln on Saturday afternoon. (Subscription needed)

“Nebraska did make a big impression on me,” he said. “It was my first game, and I love the game day atmosphere. Even outside of campus, the whole town was about the game. As soon as I arrived, even at the hotel, it was huge. The entire town is ready for the game, and it was awesome to see… they’re definitely high on my list. They’ve always been up there because they’ve stayed consistent, kept reaching out, and made an impression on me. They’re a great team with great coaches, and after this experience, they’re definitely high on my list.”

The Huskers have struggled to recruit the running back position over the last couple of classes. Landing Rogers would be a step in the right direction for the program and give them an impact back for the 2027 class. The class currently has two commitments in Trae Taylor and Tory Pitman II, both blue-chip prospects. Rodgers would be another major weapon at a position of need.
