Watch Penn State's game week hype video for the Oregon game

The anticipation for Penn State’s whiteout game has been rising since the start of the season. After three tune-up games to start the year in Beaver Stadium, the home of the Nittany Lions is about to explode in a roar as Penn State hosts Oregon on Saturday night for the annual whiteout game.

James Franklin has been asking fans to bring the noise all game long because he knows his squad is about to be in a real battle with Oregon in what is a rematch of last season’s Big Ten championship game. The top-10 showdown is one Franklin is well aware he and Penn State have a lackluster history in delivering, so the hope is that this game helps change the narrative and propels Penn State forward to another run in the College Football Playoff down the road.

Franklin shared the weekly hype video for the game, which is narrated by former Penn State running back Ki-Jana Carter. Carter, of course, has his history against Oregon with a victory in the 1995 Rose Bowl to complete the undefeated 1994 season. Another member of that 1994 roster, Joe Jurevicious, is serving as the honorary team captain on Saturday.

Penn State hosts Oregon on Saturday night (September 27) at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
