Check out the best social media reactions to Colorado's tough defeat at the hands of BYU

Colorado football could not capitalize on a significant opportunity Saturday evening against No. 24 BYU. They had the Cougars on the ropes up 14-0, but eventually fell 24-21.

The Buffaloes showed flashes as they have in all games this year, but the consistency was not there once again. Dre’lon Miller’s new role as an offensive weapon, primarily out of the backfield, sparked the Buffs’ offense, but it was not enough despite the sophomore’s two touchdowns. CU quarterback Kaidon Salter showed his abilities during the first quarter, but looked indecisive and confused at times later in the contest.

Colorado’s defense kept them in the game, giving them a chance to put together a game-tying or winning drive, but penalties and missed third-down stops came back to bite the Buffs. It was a game that easily could have gone Colorado’s way, but too many mistakes against a well-coached and disciplined team often don’t work out well.

Deion Sanders’ squad has a lot to work on, and with the schedule only getting harder from here (No. 25 TCU next week), there is not much room for error.

Here are some of the best reactions from Buff Nation following Saturday night’s disappointing loss.
