Sixers to request waivers on undrafted rookie Igor Milicic Jr.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of preparing for the 2025-26 season in an effort to turn the page and move forward with their championship hopes. This is a talented roster that offers a lot of hope if it can stay healthy.

The Sixers are also looking to stock up in the G League so they have some younger pieces to turn to when the time calls for it. That is the case on Saturday as the team has officially requested waivers on undrafted rookie Igor Milicic Jr. The expectation is that he will join the Delaware Blue Coats–the team’s G League affiliate.

Milicic averaged 9.4 points and 6.7 rebounds in the 2024-25 season while playing for Tennessee. He also played collegiately for Virginia and Charlotte.

The Sixers will have another day of training camp on Sunday before boarding the plane and heading to Abu Dhabi. They will face the New York Knicks for two preseason games and continuing toward the season beginning in October.
