The Cleveland Browns are back in the loss column after a 34-10 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions.
Week 4 continued a frustrating trend for Cleveland; the Browns have now followed up a near-win in Week 1 and an actual upset win last Sunday with a pair of 24-point losses in Baltimore and Detroit. The loss drops Cleveland’s record to 1-3 on the young season and solidifies the team’s last-place status in the AFC North.
Let’s take a look at what Browns fans are saying about another blowout loss for the team in Week 4.
The QBs
The Browns have a pair of tough matchups on the horizon, as they face the Vikings in London next week and then return to the U.S. to face the AFC North-leading Steelers in Week 6, but it may only be a matter of time until the Browns replace their veteran starting quarterback. The team’s passing offense struggled yet again in the loss to Detroit, and rookie third-round pick entered the game late in relief of Joe Flacco for the second time in three weeks.
After another rough outing for Flacco, Browns fans (predictably) want a change, to the point where even former Browns safety T.J. Ward is calling for Gabriel to start.
It’s rookie time in Cleveland #browns#Cleveland Flacco run is over. Time to move on
— T.J. Ward (@BossWard43) September 28, 2025
I thought the whole point of starting Flacco is that we didn’t want a rookie QB making a bunch of dumb mistakes. If you have a 40 year old statue making stupid mistakes you might as well play your rookie.

I promise you that Kenny Pickett would have been better than this

If Stefanski trots out Flacco again for the next series then I can only assume he’s actively trying to lose this game pic.twitter.com/E6B01MEj7h

Joe Flacco this year is making Deshaun Watson last year look incredible.
— Grant Puskar (@grant_puskar_) September 28, 2025
If Gabriel isn’t ready; DON’T PLAY HIM. Got no problem with that. But if this is just for the sake of following a “plan” then it’s not about winning. And that’s what people have a problem with. We can live with rookie QB mistakes. Harder to do with a 41 year old QB. #DawgPound

I think im about ready to see dillon gabriel
Elusive enough , quicker/more accurate throws and i believe he can give a spark to this offense , cant waste an elite defense. #DawgPound

stefanski what game are you watching? there is no way gabriel is not better than this…. if he is not you should’ve never drafted him in the first place. #dawgpound

And… cue the Dillon Gabriel posts… GO!!!#Dawgpound

I’m ready for Gabriel and Sanders. I love you Flacco, but it’s time. #Browns#DawgPound

The offense
The Browns’ weekly performance on offense is becoming extremely predictable. Over the last three games, the unit overall has struggled mightily when it comes to actually moving the football and putting up points, but several of the team’s rookie offensive playmakers have been impressive in their individual performances. That remained true for Quinshon Judkins on Sunday, who rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, the third time in three career games that he’s rushed for 60+ yards. Wide receiver Isaiah Bond also came up big in several moments, recording three catches for 58 yards, and while tight end Harold Fannin Jr. only caught two passes, he was targeted six times and remains a focus in Cleveland’s passing game.
This Browns offense is basically Judkins.

Thank goodness for Harold Fannin. It looks like every first down for the Browns is PAINFUL to get.
— Minnesota Browns Fan (@mnbrownsfan) September 28, 2025
Fannin might be our best offensive player
— Chef Zae (@ChefZae23) September 28, 2025
Another week of our offense being awful tv. #dawgpound

Yea start throwing to Isaiah Bond!!! #Dawgpound
— Nathan (@nathandamenace) September 28, 2025
If it’s not scripted, the @browns offense is a complete disaster. Everything seems so crowded and sloppy. #CLEVSDET#dawgpound

The vets on this offense are letting the rookies down… #DawgPound
— Hubert (@HunchoHubert) September 28, 2025
Judkins is the real deal.
— Cam White (@RouteUniverse9) September 28, 2025
Judkins def has that Chubb like quality to grab a couple extra yards at the end of every run.
— Lafferty, Daniel (@RyanPGoldchains) September 28, 2025
quinshon judkins changed my life

The way Quinshon Judkins falls over forward. Very Nick Chubb like.
— Minnesota Browns Fan (@mnbrownsfan) September 28, 2025
It would be hard for me not to go to Judkins or Fannin every play if I were running this offense #DawgPound

The defense
Cleveland’s defense didn’t put up its best showing of the season in Week 4, but the unit still held up fairly well over the course of Sunday’s game. Tasked with slowing down a Lions rushing offense that gashed Baltimore for 224 yards and 5.9 yards per carry on the ground just six days ago, the Browns managed to cut both of those numbers roughly in half, allowing Detroit to gain 109 yards on the ground (3.3 per carry.) Cleveland’s pass rush didn’t bring down Jared Goff, but star cornerback Denzel Ward managed to capitalize on a bad throw from the Lions quarterback and nab the Browns’ only takeaway of the day.
THE WARDEN! DENZEL WARD INT! 🎸#Browns#DawgPound

This #Browns defense is for real. The secondary (except ward) is still suspect tho. #dawgpound

Myles Garrett single handedly keeping the Browns in this game lol
— Breakfast in Monaco🌹 (@__Wavve) September 28, 2025
Myles Garrett just prevented Jameson Williams wide open TD.
Won’t make the stats sheet. Garrett has been a beast today vs the Lions

This defense deserves a better offense than this. Seriously, they need to just put the kid in and see what he can do. What’s the worst that could happen? #dawgpound

This Browns defense deserves so much better than this Browns offense and special teams #DawgPound

Maliek Collins is balling out of control this year. Pro Bowl and potentially All-Pro level
— Wene Wenbikere (@wenbickert) September 28, 2025
The #Browns defense is awesome… these rookies that are playing are awesome! But Idk how we are supposed to watch these games when we have zero help from the QB position! #DawgPound
— Shelton (@Shelton733) September 28, 2025
I reiterate….There are other defensive players and then there’s Myles Garrett. Can impact a game without getting a sack. #DawgPound

this defense needs to rest more than 3 and outs. if not we cannot compete. #dawgpound

God I love this defense! Thank you Jim Schwartz for being in Cleveland! #DawgPound
