Texas A&M receives a prediction of land elite 2027 4-star offensive lineman

Texas A&M’s 16-10 win over Auburn on Saturday afternoon gave coach Mike Elko and offensive line coach Adam Cushing significant ground with one of the top-ranked 2027 prospects who attended the game, and is now predicted to land with the Aggies after his unofficial visit to College Station.

After landing six offensive linemen in the 2025 class, Cushing has been on a heater, establishing himself as one of the best recruiters in the country, built on strong relationships while selling what Mike Elko is continuing to develop.

On Saturday, while Texas A&M’s offensive line surrendered four sacks, the most it has all season, the Aggies gained over 200 yards on the ground. In contrast, five starting/backup offensive linemen had impressive pass-blocking grades, according to Pro Football Focus. These in-season visits can seal the deal for most recruits, which likely now includes elite 2027 four-star OL Alber Simien.

On Monday, Rivals/On3 recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong logged his “expert prediction” for Texas A&M to land Simien, who is widely considered the best offensive lineman in the cycle, and one of the best prospects in Louisiana. Playing both sides of the ball as a defensive lineman since his freshman year, Simien is the type of versatile athlete with NFL potential that Elko is looking for in all his future commits.

According to Rivals, Simien is currently positioned as the 34th-ranked prospect in the 2027 cycle, the second-ranked interior offensive lineman, and the 4th-ranked prospect in Louisiana.
