Ospreys will have to wait slightly longer for the return of their captain Jac Morgan after the British and Irish Lion picked up a knock during testing.
Morgan had been due to travel to South Africa with his side for their United Rugby Championship (URC) games against Bulls and Stormers.
But head coach Mark Jones said he was unable to fly after picking up “a minor calf issue” while taking part in physical testing with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU).
“He probably wasn’t going to be able to do anything for around a week so we didn’t feel flying him out to do minimal training here would be beneficial to him long-term,” said Jones from Cape Town.

“He was given an extra week anyway for rest and recuperation, but unfortunately with the testing he’s picked up a little niggle which will probably set him back a week.”
Jones has not featured since returning from the Lions’ triumphant tour of Australia in the summer.
He made his debut from the replacement’s bench in the second Test, during which his clearout in the lead-up to the Lions’ match-winning and subsequent series-winning try sparked a huge amount of controversy.
