The Denver Broncos‘ pass rushers are just as lethal as they were in 2024, and the NFL is taking notice. On Monday Night Football, the Broncos sacked Cincinnati Bengals quarterback three times, and one of the sacks stood out among the rest.
During the game, Browning had just taken the snap, and not even two seconds later, pass rushers Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper met at the quarterback, taking him down. NFL analyst Brian Baldinger reacted to the play. “Watch the takeoff here from Cooper and Bonitto,” said Baldinger. ” I mean, they beat the tackles right out of their stance. It’s not a fair fight.

I’d say Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper got good jumps off the snap pic.twitter.com/9Eo8AvtXTz

Kay Adams, host of Up and Adams also spoke to Will Compton and Taylor Lewan about how Nik Bonitto is putting himself in the top tier of pass rushers in 2025.
“Everybody right now is going to their computer to watch film on (Bonitto) to figure out what makes him so great,” said Lewan, You can watch the two-minute clip of their discussion below.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor spoke about the Broncos‘ defense after the game. “It’s a very difficult defense [to face] on the road,” said Taylor. “They’re teeing on the snap count and we’re trying to do our best to limit that. It’s a great advantage to have here. Their fans are great, their rush is outstanding. They’ve been a challenging defense all season long. They were challenging defense last week. We knew that, so you can’t give them any opportunity to get some momentum that they didn’t earn necessarily. [There was] some pre-snap stuff that we gave them, so a great defense. They played well. You’ve got to make some big plays, and we didn’t do enough of that tonight.”
The Broncos defense faces a difficult task against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Can they keep up the momentum?
