Here is the first injury report for Colorado State vs San Diego State Mountain West game

Injury reports have been added to the Mountain West for the 2025 college football season.

The league joins several other conferences with required injury reports. The reporting rules for the MW only apply for league games, so teams do not need to submit for nonconference games (which is why Colorado State has not had public injury reports in its first four games of the season).

Mountain West play begins Oct. 3 for Colorado State and San Diego State when the Rams play at the Aztecs (7:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. MT).

Here’s a look at what to know about the injury reports and who is listed in the initial report for each team.

When are Mountain West injury reports and what do they show?

Programs submit to the league an initial availability report no later than 4 p.m. local time (where the school is located) two days before the game. The report is then made public at approximately 8:15 p.m. Mountain two days before the game.

In the case of CSU at San Diego State, that meant the first report was released around 8:15 p.m. Oct. 1.

The final availability report is due from the teams no later than 3 hours before kickoff (so, 4:30 p.m. PT/5:30 p.m. MT on Oct. 3 for this game). Those reports will then be publicly released 2.5 hours before kickoff (5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. on Oct. 3).

Each report will identify players by name and designate their participation status as “Out” or “Questionable.” All other players are presumed “Available.” No medical or injury-specific information will be disclosed.

There are different timings for games including Hawaii.
