Here is a look at the Week 5 initial injury reports and Thursday Night Football’s final designation that could affect your fantasy football team. More season-ending injuries occurred, and several other names will be questionable for this weekend’s slate of games. Names such as Malik Nabers, James Conner, and Tyreek Hill may not show up on the report due to suffering season-ending injuries.
Thursday Night Football – 49ers at Rams
The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC West Divisional battle Thursday night in Primetime. The 49ers cannot catch a break. Quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a setback from a lingering turf toe injury and has been ruled out. Mac Jones will get the start again, missing two wide receivers in Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. The Rams will be without offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (ankle), and tight end Tyler Higbee is doubtful (hip). Higbee is closer to being ruled out due to not practicing on Wednesday.
Vikings at Browns (London)
For the Cleveland Browns, Myles Garrett will be a game-time decision due to an ankle injury suffered against Detroit. Tight end David Njoku, who remains questionable, was limited in practice dealing with a knee injury. Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy has also been ruled out again with the ankle injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Jets
Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has once again been ruled out due to a high ankle sprain. Jets running back Braelon Allen appears to have suffered a serious knee injury and was a non-participant in practice. He will likely be ruled out.
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has also been limited in practice and will likely be listed as doubtful or a game-time decision in the coming days due to a knee injury. The Ravens practiced without quarterback Lamar Jackson, cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Chidobe Awuzie, linebackers Roquan Smith and Kyle Van Noy, fullback Patrick Ricard, and safety Kyle Hamilton. It looks as if Lamar Jackson could miss 2-3 weeks.
Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert did not practice and needs to have his status for Sunday monitored throughout the weekend. For the Broncos, wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. was listed as a limited participant and will also need to be monitored in the coming days for a downgrade.
Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts
Raiders tight end Brock Bowers was limited in practice and looks doubtful heading into Sunday.
New York Giants at New Orleans Saints
The Giants running back Tyrone Tracy and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence did not practice on Wednesday. Wide receiver Malik Nabers is done for the year after tearing his ACL.
Washington Commanders at Los Angeles Chargers
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is fully cleared and participated in practice all week for Washington. Receivers Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin did not practice on Wednesday and are questionable heading into Sunday.
