The Oklahoma Sooners have been on a roll on the recruiting trail over the last week. They earned three commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, highlighted by in-state five-star offensive tackle prospects Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny.
On Wednesday, they added another prospect to the 2026 recruiting class, gaining a pledge from wide receiver Brayden Allen.
Allen is a three-star wide receiver out of the state of Louisiana. He’s the No. 55 wide receiver in the nation according to Rivals. Out of Lafayette Christian Academy, Allen was originally committed to Tulane before his recruiting profile began to take off. After committing to Tulane on July 16, Allen received offers from Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Colorado, and Oklahoma this summer before decommitting from the Green Wave last week.
He’s the third wide receiver committed to the Oklahoma Sooners in the cycle, joining Daniel Odom from Florida and Xavier Okwufulueze out of Oklahoma.
The Sooners now have 21 players committed in the 2026 recruiting class and may not be done just yet.
