The US LBM Coaches Poll No. 21 Notre Dame (2-2) hosts Boise State (3-1) on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, NBC) as it continues to put behind back-to-back losses to begin the 2025 college football season.
The Broncos began the year with a shocking 27-point loss at USF, but they have seemingly put that disaster behind them as they travel to South Bend for the first time in program history.
Protecting quarterback CJ Carr will be of the utmost importance for ND, as Boise State has 82 pressures in just four games. So the Fighting Irish offensive line, which looks much improved from its collective effort against Miami, must continue to play well. And if Boise State decides to blitz Carr, he was up to the task when Arkansas did so, throwing two touchdowns when the Razorbacks decided to bring extra pressure.
Marcus Freeman’s squad is expected to be without wide receiver Jaden Greathouse (right thigh injury), but there are still plenty of weapons surrounding Carr. Expect more offensive fireworks from the Irish this week.

Notre Dame 38, Boise State 20: The Fighting Irish will play a pretty good Boise State team, one that made it to the College Football Playoff last season. The Broncos are strong defensively, but the Irish have had success offensively against all of their opponents thus far, including last week’s destruction of Arkansas. Boise will put up a fight, but it ranks No. 121 in the FBS in red zone defense, allowing opponents to score on 100 percent of their trips. ND will show off its firepower in the second half en route to a 38-20 win.
