Gallatin held off Mt. Juliet for a key 18-10 Region 4-6A win on Oct. 3 behind the play of quarterback K’Saun Barksdale. Barksdale, who transferred from Davidson Academy, was 9-of-16 passing for 158 yards. He also had 49 rushing yards for the Green Wave (5-1, 2-1 in 4-6A).
Barksdale was making his second consecutive start after replacing quarterback Jackson Stroup, who is out for the season with a lower leg injury. Malachi Harper had 31 yards and a TD on 14 carries. And Ryan Williams caught three passes for 91 yards.
Eli Driver had 27 carries for 119 yards and a TD for Mt. Juliet (1-6, 0-2).
BGA 55, Davidson Academy 10: Ridge Holman was 10-of-19 passing for 99 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in a loss to Davidson Academy (3-4, 1-3 DII-AA). Joshua Bolden had three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown and Wilks Biggs rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries.
Blackman 35, Stewarts Creek 7: Rockvale transfer Jaevion Elliott was 7-of-11 passing for 127 yards with two TDs and added 83 rushing yards and a TD in the Region 3-6A win. Brylan Oduor had three catches for 95 yards and two TDs for the Blaze (6-1, 3-1 3-6A). RC Davis had five carries for 43 yards and a touchdown and was 7-of-17 passing for 74 yards with one interception in the loss for Stewarts Creek (3-4, 1-4 3-6A). Jayden McKnight added 43 yards on 18 carries and had three catches for 41 yards.
Brentwood Academy 35, MUS 0: Crews Jenkins was 7-of-13 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns for Brentwood Academy (6-0, 2-0 DII-AAA). Larry Sanders rushed for 108 yards and three TDs and Kesean Bowman’ had three catches for two touchdowns.
Clay County 30, MTCS 20: Nolan Adams led Clay County (6-1) with 210 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries and was 1-of-3 passing for 11 yards and a touchdown. Reece Adams added 112 yards and two TDs on 22 carries and caught one pass for 11 yards and a touchdown. Alie Bangura had 10 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown for MTCS (4-2).
CPA 16, MBA 15: Rawls Patterson rushed for 213 yards and a touchdown and had four catches for 29 yards to lead CPA (2-5, 1-1 DII-AAA). Jack VanOrman was 8-of-18 passing for 48 yards for the Lions. Charlie Verner was 18-of-29 passing for 139 yards with a touchdown and an interception for MBA (4-2, 1-2).
Eagleville 34, Moore County 7: Jonathan Jordan had 15 carries for 232 yards and two touchdowns for Eagleville (4-3, 2-1 5-1A). Thomas Solomon added 83 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Marshall Fields caught one pass for 74 tards and a TD.
East Robertson 42, East Hickman 12: Kason Young was 12-of-17 passing for 317 yards and four touchdowns and had 335 yards of total offense to lead East Robertson (7-0, 2-0 6-2A). Cade Brooks made four catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns and Zay’Vian Groves had four catches for 125 yards and a TD.
Forrest 54, Community 0: Quincy Mitchell had nine carries for 210 yards and three touchdowns to lead Forrest (5-2, 1-1 4-3A). Micah Morgan was 11-of-14 passing for 174 yards and three touchdowns and Isaac Cruse had 112 yards and two TDs on five catches.
FRA 42, Goodpasture 7: Jack Nimitz was 9-of-10 passing for 218 yards and five touchdowns for FRA (6-0, 4-0 DII-AA). Mike Hassell had five carries for 135 yards and a touchdown and Kwadir Fletcher caught two passes for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Friendship Christian 37, DCA 7: Jayden McGowan had 17 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns to lead Friendship Christian (6-1, 3-0 DII-A). Blake Waldorf had seven carries for 22 yards and a touchdown and Ryder Wolcott rushed for 20 yards and a TD.
Hendersonville 28, Summit 0: Christopher Jordan rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown and Tate Rumney added 90 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries to lead Hendersonville (3-3). Ayden Blum returned an interception 58 yards for a TD and Ayden Meadows rushed for 18 yards and a touchdown for the Commandos. Charles Williams had 11 carries for 73 yards for Summit (1-6).
Lipscomb Academy 20, Father Ryan 14: JC White was 20-of-34 passing for 172 yards with an interception and Zekharyah Crockett rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns for Lipscomb Academy (2-5, 2-0 DII-AAA). Cam Blivens caught five passes for 59 yards for the Mustangs. Cayden Dixon was 13-of-27 passing for 181 yards and a touchdown for Father Ryan (1-6, 0-3).
Marshall County 45, Columbia Academy 0: Tyler Thompson was 12-of-22 passing for 147 yards and two touchdowns and had five carries for 14 yards and a touchdown in a win for Marshall County (4-3). Tot Gardner rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns and Marks Mitchell and Mylan Bell each caught a TD pass. Jacob Helms was 7-of-17 passing for 20 yards for Columbia Academy (1-6).
Oakland 35, Rockvale 14: Ja’Vonni Malone opened the scoring with 94-yard kickoff return for Oakland (7-0, 4-0 3-6A). Justis Haggard had five carries for 39 yards and three touchdowns and Kam Morton was 5-of-9 passing for 98 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Patriots. Jonathan Hamby was 22-of-33 passing for 265 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions for Rockvale (3-4, 3-2).
Ravenwood 28, Independence 7: Caden Pace rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and Maverick Chance added 115 yards and a touchdown on seven carries to lead Ravenwood (7-0, 3-0 6-6A). Crews Kelley and Cy Longley each caught a TD pass for the Raptors. Matt Horner was 20-of-31 passing for 200 yards with three interceptions and Colby Barone had 16 carries for 9 yards and a touchdown for Independence (3-3, 2-2).
Riverdale 31, Smyrna 13: Ravenwood transfer Gavin Hampton was 16-of-20 passing for 260 yards with three TDs to lead Riverdale (5-2, 3-1 3-6A). Loretto transfer Corben Reynolds had five catches for 126 yards and two TDs. Braylon Burns added three catches for 63 yards and a TD and Jacob Vaughn carried the ball 13 times for 90 yards and a TD. AJ Jackson was 17-of-24 passing for 150 yards with one touchdown in a loss for Smyrna (3-4, 1-3 3-6A). Succory Weathers caught four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs.
Upperman 49, Livingston Academy 6: Bronzden Chaffin was 12-of-12 passing for 243 yards and a touchdown and had eight carries for 53 yards and three TDs in a win for Upperman (5-2, 3-0 4-4A). Carmine Phillips had eight carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns and Gunner Block caught two passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.
