Well this is fun news: the Splash Brother are no more but the Curry Brothers? That’s a thing now.
Duke grad Seth Curry joins big brother Stephen with the Golden State Warriors, which leads to an immediate question: since dad Dell and both brothers prefer #30, who gets it?
Dumb question.
Stephen is a Golden State legend and the older of the two; of course he’ll keep it. However, Seth gave it a shot, saying that “I tried to buy it from him, he said he didn’t need the money.”
He’ll be wearing #31.
In the short term, the younger Curry is on an Exhibit 9 deal. He’s good for training camp, but will be waived. Once the budget sorts out, GM Mike Dunleavy will re-sign Seth.
It’s going to be fun to watch these guys together.
