The Brooklyn Nets began training camp last week in preparation for a 2025-26 season that presents a lot of changes for the franchise. Brooklyn was dealing with some injuries coming into camp, but there is no rest for the weary. The Nets had a surprising starting five for Saturday’s preseason game against Hapoel Jerusalem.
According to CJ Holmes of the New Daily News, Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez announced prior to Saturday’s preseason game that Ben Saraf and Terance Mann would be in the starting lineup. It was not a surprise to see those two players joining Cam Thomas, Michael Porter Jr., and Nic Claxton given that the trio are the three best players on the team.
One of the main storylines coming into camp is who would be the starting point guard and power forward to play with Thomas, Porter, and Claxton. It should be noted that Egor Demin, the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, is currently dealing with a plantar fascia injury that is keeping him out of action for the time being.
