Kansas City Chiefs downgrade WR Xavier Worthy's injury status ahead of Week 5

The injury bug continues to affect the Kansas City Chiefs as another player is added to the injury list ahead of Week 5.

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who returned to the lineup last week after suffering a shoulder injury in the regular season opener, is back on the injury report. The team has downgraded the former Texas Longhorns standout to questionable for Monday night’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Shoulder/Ankle is listed as a reason for the downgrade according to the team’s official social media accounts.

Worthy joins cornerback Kristian Fulton and rookie defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott with the same injury designation. All three players practiced during the week, with Norman-Lott being added to the injury report on Saturday due to a shoulder issue.

The return of the 2024 first-round pick in Week 4 didn’t disappoint, as he was an elite threat for the offense, either at receiver or in the run game. He finished the game with 38 yards rushing and 83 receiving for a memorable comeback performance.

Keep it locked to Chiefs Wire for the latest updates on Worthy’s condition ahead of Week 5 against the Jaguars.
