Ohio State football looked awfully impressive on Saturday, dominating the visiting Minnesota Golden Gophers by a final score of 42-3. The win ran the Buckeyes‘ record to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference, and it kept OSU on the path to some really lofty goals for the season.
Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck knew what his team was up against and had some high praise for the Buckeyes after the game, but we also like to hear from the Ohio State head coach on his thoughts about the opponent and his own team’s performance when all the dust settles and the victory bell chimes silence.
Ryan Day met with the media afterwards and took quite a few questions and reacted to what he saw from his players, and we have his entire press conference here, thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel, in case you missed any of it.
Day discusses the continued improvement in play from quarterback Julian Sayin, maintaining a hungry mindset, the amount of credit the Ohio State players deserve for their commitment and buy-in, and more.
There’s no rest for the weary, or for champions. Ohio State will now begin preparations for a significant road challenge in Champaign vs. a ranked Illinois squad this week. We’ll continue to bring you coverage and insights from this one and the next one.
