The Oregon Ducks are completely focused on their upcoming game with the Indiana Hoosiers, but television schedules aren’t exactly week-to-week.
Oregon travels to Piscataway, NJ Oct. 18 to face Rutgers in the first meeting between the two programs. The game will be at 3:30 pm PT and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Rutgers is having a tough start to the Big Ten as they are 0-2 with losses to Iowa (38-28) and Minnesota (31-28). They are 3-2 overall.
It’s a good deal for the Ducks, kicking off in the middle of the afternoon Pacific time. There’s been a lot of talk about West Coast teams having to play in that 9 am slot, just as Oregon did against Northwestern and USC had to do the same thing at Illinois. It worked out well for the Ducks, but not so much for the Trojans as they fell by a last-second field goal and lost 34-32.
Washington will be the latest West Coast team to have a breakfast-time kickoff, as the Huskies will go to the Big House and face Michigan next week.
