On3 reports Iowa football QB Mark Gronowski is 'day-to-day'

The Iowa Hawkeyes are back into game week preparation as they have a road trip to take on the Wisconsin Badgers in Big Ten play. As Iowa readies for its sixth game of the year, all attention is on the health and availability of starting quarterback Mark Gronowski.

Gronowski left Iowa’s last game against Indiana with a knee injury and has been rehabbing it since. Last week, his status was murky, but there have been positive signs that this injury may not be long-term or season-ending for the Hawkeyes’ signal-caller.

While that is good news, On3 has reported that Mark Gronowski’s status remains unclear as the Iowa quarterback remains day-to-day for his return to action.

Should Gronowski be unable to go against the Wisconsin Badgers, Tim Lester and the offense will turn the keys over to Hank Brown, who came into the Indiana game in relief.

Brown, a transfer from Auburn, is 11-21 on the year for 107 yards with one touchdown to one interception. Behind Brown, should the Hawkeyes need to go deeper in the quarterback bullpen, they could turn to Jeremy Hecklinski, Ryan Sullivan, Jackson Stratton, and Ryan Fitzgerald.
