During the Arizona Cardinals loss against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon, many who watched will remember the fumble by Emari Demercado.
Demercado dropped the ball before the goal-line after a breakout 72-yard run against the Titans, resulting in a touchback rather than a score. This was part of the reason why the Cardinals lost, 22-21, to after initially holding a 21-3 lead over the previously winless Titans.
Some are wondering if the evaporated lead will lead to Arizona firing offensive coordinator Drew Petzing. Tensions may feel high after the lapse in judgment by Demercado, who was seen getting yelled at by Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon:
I don’t think many people caught Gannon absolutely ripping Demarcado a new one after that fumble. pic.twitter.com/cZURmsVLIm

More: Will the Cardinals fire OC after humiliating Titans loss?
It appeared Gannon may have physically contacted Demercado, which would obviously cross a boundary.
Gannon, who is typically relatively even-tempered, clearly lost his cool beyond reason during this moment.
Pretty sure Jonathan Gannon’s never been so livid on the sideline. Waiting to see if the broadcast has it, but from the press box, sure looked like he gave Emari Demercado the business.

Demercado was filling in as a backup with James Conner and Trey Benson both injured.
He was briefly considered a “must-add” for fantasy football owners before this blunder.
