Where Oregon Ducks' offense ranks nationally in key stats following Week 6

Though the Oregon Ducks had a bye, that doesn’t mean that the rest of college football took the weekend off in Week 6. Far from it, as the Penn State Nittany Lions and Texas Longhorns suffered devastating losses to the UCLA Bruins and Florida Gators, respectively, due in part to slow starts on the offensive side of the ball.

Additionally, several top offenses stood out thanks to impressive performances.

The Alabama Crimson Tide amassed 486 total yards, with quarterback Ty Simpson looking as comfortable as ever against a ranked Vanderbilt Commodores squad. The Tide have rebounded extremely well from a season-opening loss to the Florida State Seminoles in which their offense appeared to be stuck in mud.

The Miami Hurricanes also put on a show, as they defeated the aforementioned Seminoles thanks to quarterback Carson Beck’s four touchdown passes — a performance that now has him tied with Ducks quarterback Dante Moore atop the Heisman Trophy odds.

Both efforts have been representative of what we’ve seen from Oregon: dominance on the offensive side of the ball.

With Week 6 in the books and preparations beginning for the next slate of games, let’s check out where the Ducks‘ offense ranks nationally in several key offensive stats.
