The Auburn Tigers return to the field this Saturday after their first bye week when they host the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs.
The Tigers needed a reset after consecutive losses to Oklahoma and Texas A&M on the road. Fortunately, the Tigers will be back at home in Jordan-Hare Stadium when they face the Bulldogs. Auburn has most of its players relatively healthy outside of running back Durrell Robinson and wide receiver Horatio Fields. On Monday, Hugh Freeze gave an update on Fields, saying he would be out six to eight weeks.
“I was told six to eight weeks on (Horatio Fields), so I guess we’re on week two now. I never know exactly what that means. You’ve got that time frame and then the time frame after that for him to actually get back going and feel good enough to cut and play at receiver,” said Freeze. “If you’re an offensive lineman, it might be a little quicker, but when you’re running and have to make cuts, you’re never quite sure exactly what that timeline looks like. Other than him, feeling good at this point that everybody else is available.”
