Final score: Chiefs lose Week 5 matchup vs. Jaguars 31-28

The Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Jacksonville Jaguars on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 5.

The game’s final score was 31-28 in Jacksonville’s favor.

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 29 of his 41 passing attempts for 318 yards and a touchdown. He was intercepted once by Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd, who made an impressive return for a touchdown.

Speedy wideout Tyquan Thornton was Kansas City’s leading receiver with three catches for 90 yards.

Mahomes was the Chiefs’ leading rusher with 60 yards on six attempts and one touchdown. Veteran running back Kareem Hunt scored two touchdowns and rushed for 49 yards on seven attempts.

Defensively, Kansas City was led by linebacker Nick Bolton, who tallied 12 combined tackles in the Week 5 loss.

Veteran defensive lineman Chris Jones registered one assisted tackle in the game.

The Chiefs will travel back to Kansas City to face the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
