Notre Dame has 5 commits & targets named to USA TODAY’s ALL-USA Football Team watchlist

If you don’t follow Notre Dame football recruiting, it’s the general consensus that the 2026 class is one of the best nationally.

The Irish have twenty-seven total commits, and two of them, safety Joey O’Brien and cornerback Khary Adams were recently named to the USA TODAY ALL-USA Football Team Watch List. The pair have a long history together, as they both committed to Notre Dame on the same day.

To show how deep this class is those two weren’t the only ones on the list as wide receiver commit Kaydon Finley, tight end Ian Premer, and defensive end Rodney Dunham were named as honorable mentions.

Those were just the Irish commits, as targets like running back Kermon Spell, wide receiver Monshun Sales, and defensive end DJ Jacobs all were highlighted as top high school players.

If this isn’t proof that Notre Dame is recruiting at a high level, I’m not sure there’s any convincing you that it is. However, the stats show differently, as the Freeman led Irish have started to amass talent like few other coaches have prior to him.
