Revisiting Tennessee's last home win versus Arkansas football

No. 12 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) will host Arkansas (2-3, 0-1 SEC) Saturday in Week 7 of the 2025 college football season.

Kickoff between the Vols and Razorbacks is slated for 4:15 p.m. EDT at Neyland Stadium. SEC Network will televise the contest.

Each week in 2025, Vols Wire revisits a memorable game between Tennessee and its upcoming opponent.

Tennessee’s last win against Arkansas at Neyland Stadium was on Nov. 10, 2007. The Vols were victorious, 34-13.

The Vols scored first after Erik Ainge completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Austin Rogers. Daniel Lincoln converted an extra point attempt with 10 minutes, 16 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

After the Razorbacks’ Alex Tejada kicked a field goal, Tennessee scored 13 unanswered points before halftime. Lincoln converted two field goals and Ainge completed a 14-yard passing touchdown to Josh Briscoe.

Tennessee led, 20-3, at halftime.

After halftime, Arian Foster scored a 59-yard rushing touchdown and Jerod Mayo returned an interception 34 yards for a touchdown.

Ainge completed 12-of-25 passing attempts for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Foster led the Vols in rushing yards (83). Rogers led Tennessee with six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown.

Darren Mcfadden led Arkansas with 117 rushing yards.
