This week in NFL Fantasy Football, tough decisions must be made at wide receiver, but there are trends and 2025 numbers that can guide the way. For managers aiming to climb the leaderboard in Week 6, certain matchups and performances point toward Stefon Diggs, Tetairoa McMillan, and Marvin Harrison Jr. as reliable starts. At the same time, Jerry Jeudy, Jameson Williams, and Brian Thomas offer more risk than reward.
Start ‘Em:
Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots – has recaptured elite form this season. Across five games, he has 29 receptions for 359 yards, averaging 12.4 yards per catch, and has become the centerpiece of New England’s passing attack. Diggs is coming off back-to-back 100-yard games, including 10 catches for 146 yards last Sunday. Facing the Saints, whose secondary has been vulnerable, Diggs is poised for another strong fantasy performance this week.
Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers – is quickly establishing himself as a reliable target in a Panthers offense seeking consistent playmakers. With a high target share and the Panthers likely playing from behind, McMillan has an opportunity for a breakout game in Week 6. The Dallas Cowboys have allowed over 15 receptions per game to opposing wide receivers, making this matchup favorable for McMillan to produce.
Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals – continues to impress in his second season with consistent production. Since week 2, Marvin has been improving each week in production, and I expect him to have a huge game this week. Harrison Jr. faces a Colts defense that has allowed eight passing touchdowns this year, making him a strong start for Week 6.
Sit ‘Em:
Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns – has seen limited success so far this season, struggling to surpass five catches or 50 yards in multiple games. He faces a challenging matchup this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense, which has been strong against wide receivers. Jeudy is better left on the bench in Week 6.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions – has struggled for consistency this year with just 11 catches in five games and few explosive plays. Kansas City’s secondary has been very effective against outside receivers, shutting down deep threats in recent games. Williams is a risky start and should be benched this week.
Brian Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars – has not yet produced significant fantasy value. Facing a disciplined Seattle Seahawks secondary, Thomas is unlikely to contribute meaningfully in Week 6 and should remain on the sidelines.
In conclusion, start Stefon Diggs, Tetairoa McMillan, and Marvin Harrison Jr. this week for strong fantasy potential, and sit Jerry Jeudy, Jameson Williams, and Brian Thomas due to poor recent production and tough defensive matchups.
