Notre Dame football’s redshirt freshman sensation CJ Carr has played at a level that has caught many eyes, and while we have weighed in on his chance to be in the Heisman Trophy conversation, there might not be enough hype around him for that to happen.
Former Irish quarterback legend Brady Quinn thinks that the hype train could start for Carr very soon, like after this coming weekend. The current FOX college football analyst went to social media and said that “No one is playing better at QB in the country than CJ Carr. Probably a week away from getting more hype, but I’ll leave this here now.”
It’s something that a big performance could do, and Quinn knows that many might think he’s a bit biased, as the mentioned at the start of his post. I’ve seen plenty of his analysis, and I think he’s pretty fair when talking about his alma mater.
Regardless of that fact, it’s becoming much clearer that Carr is catching the eyes of some of the big national names, and that could go a long way for his recognition this fall as he was a late addition on Tuesday to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year watch list.
People will think this opinion is bias, but go watch the tape. No one is playing better at QB in the country than @13Cjcarr. Probably a week away from getting more hype but I’ll leave this here now.
