The No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs (4-1) were looking for a refresher against the Kentucky Wildcats (2-2). The Bulldogs suffered a heartbreaking 24-21 loss vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide (4-1) with questionable calls on third down, a terrible drop, and a rough first half preventing Georgia from winning. The Bulldogs appeared to clean up most of their issues against Kentucky, winning 35-14.

The running game powered the UGA offense, generating 180 yards and four touchdown, including two from Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton. The passing game was steady with Gunner Stockton throwing for 196 yards and one touchdown. Stockton threw his first interception, but if he can keep the offense afloat while the running game remains potent, Georgia will look good offensively.

On defense, the Bulldogs were a mixed bag. Demello Jones continues to impress as the perimeter corner alongside Daylen Everette, and Ellis Robinson IV caught an impressive interception, but the Georgia pass rush vanished and Daylen Everette himself played poorly. Kentucky had a scoring drive that lasted just four plays and went 75 yards.

Georgia will play Auburn (3-2) on the road next week. The game will commence at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday and with Cam Newton’s jersey retirement occurring before the matchup, Georgia will deal with a sold out crowd.
