WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently shared his opinion on claims that Roman Reigns is an overrated star.
Since adopting the Tribal Chief persona, Roman Reigns has taken WWE to new heights. The OTC had a historic Undisputed title reign where he defeated top stars like Brock Lesnar and John Cena. Despite this, some fans have marked Reigns as an overrated talent.
During a recent episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, the nWo member reacted to these claims, believing Reigns has a charisma to him that puts him a step above everybody else.
“See, here’s the thing, man—it’s all how someone’s being used or underused,” Kevin Nash said. “Let’s wait and see where this Uso thing goes. When he comes out, man, there’s a charisma and a star quality to him that is another step above everybody else.
“When a guy looks like a wrestler to me, there’s some instant credibility that happens,” he continued. “If they can actually work, if they are a good character—and if they can manifest that character to keep it interesting—I think I’m okay with Roman on all those. Right now, I’d rather see him working the top than some of the people that have been main eventing on Raw. He’s bigger than the other three or four guys that are in that top spot.” [H/T: Complex]
Roman Reigns is set to compete against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel 2025 in an Australian Street Fight match. After this weekend, Reigns is also promoted to be part of Survivor Series: WarGames. That event will take place on November 29 at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
