ESPN 'College GameDay' announces guest picker for Oregon Ducks vs. Indiana Hoosiers

A long list of names came to mind when it was announced that ESPN’s “College GameDay” would be making a return trip to Eugene to feature the No. 2 Oregon Ducks ahead of their matchup against the No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers. In one of the time-honored traditions of the flagship show, ESPN would be inviting a guest picker to join the show for the final segment, often someone tied to the University in some way.

So who would it be, a former athlete like Kenjon Barner, or an Oregon celebrity, like Ty Burrell?

The decision has finally been made. ESPN announced on Thursday that WNBA star and Oregon legend Sabrina Ionescu would be coming on the show as the guest picker on Saturday morning in Eugene.

Ionescu was the guest picker two years ago when “GameDay” came to town, sitting alongside the legendary Lee Corso and going viral while holding a live duck with the coach. While Corso won’t be there this weekend, it should be just as fun.

This is the 13th time that “College GameDay” will be returning to Eugene, and the 34th time that Oregon has ever been featured on the show. The appearance of Ionescu as a guest picker builds on the shoulders of Oregon alum and television star Kaitlin Olson from last year against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
