Former Minnesota Vikings WR joins AFC contender ahead of Week 6

A former Minnesota Vikings receiver is heading back to the AFC West.

Jalen Reagor, who spent the 2022 season with the Vikings, is signing with the Los Angeles Chargers. Reagor played eight games with the Chargers last season, catching seven passes for 100 yards and returning one kick for 22 yards.

The Vikings acquired Reagor in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Minnesota sent Philadelphia a 2023 seventh-round pick and a 2024 conditional fifth-round pick.

Reagor’s impact in Minnesota was minimal. He caught eight passes for 104 yards and a touchdown while also handling the team’s punt return duties. Reagor returned 26 punts for 167 yards.

It was an ironic pairing for the Vikings to acquire Reagor, as he was originally selected one spot ahead of Justin Jefferson in the 2020 draft. But he was disappointed in two seasons in Philadelphia, catching 64 passes for 695 yards and four touchdowns.

The Vikings will face Reagor on October 23, when they travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers on Thursday Night Football.
