- Saints defensive end Cam Jordan is the latest NFL player to have his home burglarized during a game
- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said two men were arrested in connection with the burglary at Jordan’s home as he was playing in a game against the 49ers on Sept. 14
- Jordan’s wife was the first to discover their home had been burglarized, said sheriff Joseph Lopinto
Cam Jordan, a defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, has become the fifth NFL player to have his home burglarized while he’s playing in a game.
Following a string of burglaries at the homes of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow in the last year, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said on Wednesday, Oct. 8 that Jordan’s home in Metairie was burglarized as the Saints were playing the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 14.
Lopinto said one of his officers was able to respond immediately after Jordan’s wife Nikki returned home to discover their home had been broken into.
The sheriff confirmed that two men have been taken into custody after a “phenomenal” job by his officers to track down the suspects, 19-year-old Jadon Brown and 28-year-old Donald Robinson, who authorities believe targeted Jordan as copycats of the burglaries at other professional athletes’ homes.

“Similarly to the NFL and other high-profile burglaries that we have had around the country, it looks like individuals are targeting players during the games, mainly away games, and targeting them during that particular scenario,” Lopinto told reporters on Wednesday.
According to ABC News, an unidentified player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had his home burglarized in October 2024 as they were playing the Baltimore Ravens, making Jordan the fifth NFL player to fall victim to the burglaries.
Two additional men were identified as suspects in the burglary, Lopinto said, and are currently wanted by the sheriff’s office. Citizens are asked to report any information about the incident or whereabouts of the additional suspect to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
In October 2024, Mahomes and Kelce’s homes in Kansas City were robbed within 48 hours of each other, a police report obtained by PEOPLE at the time confirmed. Mahomes called the situation “frustrating” and “disappointing” when asked about it at the time.

Kelce’s home was robbed as the Chiefs were playing the Saints on Oct. 7. Leawood Police were not called to the house until 1:36 a.m. the following morning, where they reported that $20,000 was taken and a rear door was broken.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was broken into on Dec. 9, 2024 while he was out of town for his team’s game against Dallas. Four thieves were later arrested for breaking into the NFL star’s home and stealing more than $300,000 worth of jewelry, clothes, luggage and more. Police arrested them after finding selfies of the men posing with the stolen items after pulling them over in a routine traffic stop, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Ohio.
Model Olivia Ponton, whom a source previously told PEOPLE had been “hooking up” with Burrow, was at his home at the time and had her mom call 911 after the thieves shattered a bedroom window to gain access to the house.

After the burglaries extended to the homes of other professional athletes, including NBA player Bobby Portis, the NFL issued a memo to players regarding security, suggesting that players utilize increased privacy measures like waiting to post on social media until after they’ve left a location and installing advanced security systems.
The memo also said the burglars are “non-confrontational” and do not act while the residents are home. Instead, they track the target’s social media accounts — and those of their families — as well as team schedules to know when the homes will be empty.
