Travon Walker injury update: Week 6 status of Jaguars' defensive end

Defensive end Travon Walker was listed on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ first injury report ahead of their Week 6 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Here’s the latest injury news on Walker and his status after Wednesday’s practice.

Travon Walker injury update

After suffering a wrist injury in Week 4 against San Francisco, Walker underwent a procedure early last week. He then did not practice the first two days of the week and was then limited during the third practice with a cast/club on his left hand.

After originally being listed as questionable, Walker was ruled out prior to the Jaguars‘ Monday Night game with the Chiefs.

Travon Walker’s practice status in Week 6

On Wednesday, Walker was officially listed as limited once again. Coming off a Monday night game, the Jaguars held a walkthrough, so the practice statuses of each player are estimations.

The day before, head coach Liam Coen said that Walker was “definitely feeling better” on Monday before kickoff with Kansas City, and that he was “hopeful” for this week.

However, that will be dependent on the swelling of Walker’s wrist and when the stitches come out, according to Mia O’Brien.

Jaguars’ defensive end depth chat

With Walker sidelined on Monday, we saw Emmanuel Ogbah and Dawuane Smoot take on larger roles. Ogbah played 40 snaps, and Smoot played 34. Dennis Gardeck also had 15 snaps from the defensive end position.
