Former Nebraska quarterback Jeff Sims to start for Arizona State

Former Nebraska football quarterback Jeff Sims will have another shot at starting at the collegiate level. He is expected to start for Arizona State on Saturday, as the team takes on Utah.

Sims has had an eventful college career since he graduated from Nebraska. He’s played the last two seasons at Arizona State and has three rushes for 22 yards on the season for the Sun Devils. He recorded 13 completions for 160 passing yards last season for the program.

Sims came to the Huskers in 2023. He threw for 282 yards, a touchdown, and six interceptions during his time in Lincoln.

This is an important matchup for the Sun Devils, who are currently ranked No. 21 in the country. They’re coming off three consecutive wins, and most recently defeated former No. 21-ranked TCU. This could be a major chance for Sims to succeed in the spotlight and continue the program’s ascension in the Big 12.
