Miami football head coach Mario Cristobal took to the Palm Beaches to enjoy part of the Hurricanes’ bye week.
Cristobal made stops at multiple Palm Beach County high school football programs on Friday, Oct. 10, including a visit to Santaluces High School and standing on the sidelines for West Boca Raton’s 31-0 win at Royal Palm Beach.
The Hurricanes (5-0) are off this week on the heels of a 28-22 win over Florida State on Oct. 4 at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
Cristobal’s Hurricanes have enjoyed a glorious regular season start. Miami is No. 2 in the latest AP Top 25 poll with wins over Notre Dame and Sunshine State rivals Florida, Florida State and South Florida.

Santaluces football head coach Hector Clavijo III, who won multiple high school state championships at Hialeah’s now-defunct Champagnat Catholic, posted a photo with Cristobal on Friday, thanking the Hurricanes’ coach for his visit.
Later that night, multiple social media accounts posted images of Cristobal watching West Boca Raton, which features four-star Miami commit Javian Mallory.
Cristobal has made it a point to recruit the Palm Beaches since his 2022 hiring.
In 2023, Cristobal, then embattled by the recent firing offensive coordinator Josh Gattis, flew a helicopter to multiple Palm Beach County programs while recruiting student-athletes.
