Michigan State and UCLA squared off at Spartan Stadium for a homecoming game for the Spartans. On this Saturday afternoon, the team was embarrassed by the Bruins, getting blown out, 38-13.
The game could not have started any better, with the Spartans forcing a three and out before marching down the field for the games opening touchdown, taking a 7-0 lead. The team gave up 38 unanswered points to follow.
After Aidan Chiles went out with an injury, backup Alessio Milivojevic came in and threw a touchdown pass to Nick Marsh, the lone sign of life in the second half.
Getting booed off of the field, playing uninspired, and ultimately just being a mockery to the fan base, the Spartans made this homecoming one of the worst performances in the program’s history. And now, the rest of 2025 looks very bleak.
The Spartans will travel to Bloomington next week, squaring off with the top ranked Indiana Hoosiers at 3:30 p.m.
