Where does Vikings' Justin Jefferson rank in PFF's WR Power Rankings for Week 6?

The Minnesota Vikings are enjoying their Bye Week as they look to heal up, gather themselves up, and regroup to dominate the second half of their schedule. Since it is a Bye Week, there is going to be a lot of reflection on the team and how things went for them leading up to it.

One of those things is looking at various power rankings. The next batch of rankings we are looking at is where PFF has him in their wide receiver power rankings. PFF’s Lauren Gray compiled the rankings, and Vikings’ Justin Jefferson is ranked eighth by their numbers.

They write, “Jefferson notched his second consecutive game with at least 11 targets and 100 receiving yards, finishing with seven catches for 123 yards against the Browns. He made three catches of 20-plus yards in the second half, including a contested 38-yard gain on third down early in the fourth quarter. Jefferson hauled in three of four contested targets and gained six first downs. He finished the day with an 82.0 PFF receiving grade (tied for seventh best). The star wideout wrapped up the Vikings’ international stretch with 17 catches for 249 yards, the third most over the past two weeks. During that span, Jefferson gained 11 first downs, ranked first in explosive gains (eight) and earned an 81.0 PFF receiving grade (tied for eighth best).”

Now you may be seeing that Jefferson is in the eighth spot and think that it is crazy, but he did have a slow start to the year, which is holding his numbers back. He has shown himself to be back to his playmaker self the last two weeks, and coming off the Bye Week, it will be interesting to see how he responds to whoever is throwing him the ball.

But as he likes to remind folks, it doesn’t matter who is throwing him the ball.
