Colts may see familiar face at quarterback against Cardinals

The Indianapolis Colts may see a familiar face at quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are “preparing” for Jacoby Brissett to start in the Week 6 game.

Kyler Murray is working through a foot injury that held him out of the first two days of practice this past week. Murray was then limited on Friday and listed as questionable.

Rapoport added that a final decision on who will be starting for the Cardinals will be made on Sunday morning.

Brissett spent four seasons with the Colts from 2017 to 2020. During that span, he appeared in 46 games and made 30 starts, throwing for 6,059 yards with 31 touchdowns to 13 interceptions.

The Colts had an 11-19 record in games he started.

Since then, Brissett has spent time with Miami, Cleveland, Washington, New England, and currently, Arizona. This is his first season with the Cardinals.

Over his 10 NFL seasons, Brissett has appeared in 89 games, completing 61.1% of his throws with 53 touchdowns to 24 interceptions.

Assisting Brissett will be a Cardinals’ defense that has been one of the more stingy units in the NFL this season. The Cardinals enter this game ranked fourth in points per game allowed.
