The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a miserable time against the Milwaukee Brewers, losing eight consecutive meetings.
My Dodgers vs. Brewers predictions see the road team bucking that trend in the NLCS opener.

Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1 predictions
Who will win Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1
Including this year’s playoffs, Blake Snell has allowed three runs over his past five starts while striking out 46 batters.
The Dodgers’ southpaw likely won’t need much run support from his star-studded offense.
Moneyline prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers (-155)
Dodgers vs Brewers best bet
Dodgers -1.5 (+115)
Blake Snell is pitching as well as anybody right now. The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ starter has allowed just three runs and 14 hits over his last five games, completing at least six innings in each of them.
He is mowing down opposing offenses and giving them very few opportunities to score. It’s not as if he is just picking on bad teams, either.
Two of those five starts came against the Philadelphia Phillies, who won the NL East and finished in the top 10 in hits, runs, average, SLG, OPS, and homers. They still couldn’t do anything against Snell while facing him twice in the span of a few weeks.
While the Milwaukee Brewers sport a quality offense, they really struggled to muster up any sort of power vs. lefties down the stretch. They recorded an ISO of just .084 against left-handed pitching from September 1st onwards, ranking 29th.
They are clearly not hitting for power vs. lefties, making it imperative that Milwaukee string together hits. That’s easier said than done against Snell, who has allowed five in 13 innings this postseason.
Conversely, the Dodgers cracked the top eight in road ISO, SLG, and OPS vs. righties over the same period of time. They’re hitting right-handed pitching well, and a lot of their best bats are in good form.
Dodgers vs Brewers Game 1 same-game parlay (SGP)
Shohei Ohtani has averaged 2.4 bases per game this year but enters play in a bit of a rut, having gone Under in five straight.
Ohtani has racked up at least four bases in back-to-back games in Milwaukee and four of his past six vs. the Brewers overall.
Meanwhile, Jackson Chourio is a menace against left-handed pitching. He hit .343 on the year and has collected 21 hits over his last 20 home games.
Dodgers vs Brewers SGP (+425)
- Dodgers -1.5
- Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 total bases
- Jackson Chourio Over 0.5 total bases
