Emeka Egbuka injury update: Buccaneers WR injures hamstring in Week 6 game vs. 49ers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are likely to finish their Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers without the services of star rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka.

The Buccaneers announced Egbuka had suffered a hamstring injury and was considered doubtful to return to the game.

It wasn’t immediately clear when Egbuka had been injured, but he was seen standing on the sideline during the second half of the game.

The Buccaneers were already without two of their top receivers for Sunday’s game. Mike Evans missed the contest with a hamstring injury of his own, while Chris Godwin was out of action due to a fibula injury.

Egbuka recorded two catches for 24 yards before exiting the game because of the injury. He was targeted four times in total by quarterback Baker Mayfield.
