How Alabama commits performed in high school football this past weekend

Similar to week’s past, Alabama Crimson Tide commits made an impact for their respective high school teams this past weekend.

A weekend that was immediately after a recent Alabama commit reportedly shut down their recruitment, this past Friday night was a bit of down one for Crimson Tide commits at the prep level, as multiple top names did not play.

However, there were still some big names in action, led by yet another strong showing from in-state star Ezavier Crowell.

Let’s take a look at how some Alabama commits performed this past weekend in high school football.

Jorden Edmonds, Cornerback, Sprayberry (Georgia)

Edmonds made the most of his one reception in Sprayberry’s 28-10 win over River Ridge, which went for a 15-yard touchdown. The cornerback also had a season-high seven tackles and one TFL.

Ezavier Crowell, Running Back, Jackson (Alabama)

Coming off a stellar showing last week in a loss, Crowell rushed for 101 yards and a season-high four touchdowns on seven rushes in Jackson’s 41-0 shutout win over Orange Beach. Crowell has now rushed for 100+ yards in all seven games he has played this season.

Nolan Wilson, Defensive Line, Picayune Memorial (Mississippi)

Wilson racked up five tackles, two TFL, one sack, and one forced fumble in Picayune Memorial’s 38-36 win against Pascagoula. The defensive lineman has now record at-least one sack in three games three games this season.

Javari Barnett, Running Back, Tampa Bay Tech (Florida)

Barnett rushed for 44 yards on eight rushes in Tampa Bay Tech’s 32-9 win over East Bay. This was likely Barnett’s best game since August.
