After falling to Illinois two weeks ago, USC football dropped out of the USA TODAY Sports US LBM Coaches Poll. After Saturday’s massive victory over Michigan, however, the Trojans moved back into the rankings, coming in at No. 21.
Entering the game, Michigan, was ranked No. 15, while USC was unranked. After the Trojans’ dominant performance, however, they moved into the rankings, while the Wolverines dropped out of the top 25 altogether.
Four other Big Ten teams are also currently ranked in the poll. Ohio State remained No. 1 after handling Illinois, who fell to No. 25. Meanwhile, Indiana rose to No. 3 after knocking off Oregon on the road, while Dan Lanning’s team fell to No. 9.
Up next, the Trojans will travel to South Bend, Indiana for a top 25 matchup with archrival Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish rose one spot to No. 15 after a 36-7 blowout win over North Carolina State.
