The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to adjust and snap their four-game losing streak in a short week of preparation for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.

It will be the second start for newly acquired QB Joe Flacco after getting traded from the Cleveland Browns before Week 6, and the Bengals will look to shorten the lead the Steelers have in the AFC North.

In preparation for the divisional matchup, defensive coordinator Al Golden gave an injury update to 2025 first-round pick, DE Shemar Stewart.

Shemar Stewart to return from ankle injury on Thursday Night Football vs. Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals have been struggling immensely in the injury report so far this season. Of course, QB Joe Burrow has been out all but two games, DE Trey Hendrickson picked up a back injury that puts his Week 7 status in doubt, and the tight end room will be short-handed with Tanner Hudson and Mike Gesicki picking up injuries last Sunday.

However, defensive coordinator Al Golden revealed that 2025 first-round pick Shemar Stewart will be returning for the Thursday night game after missing the past three weeks with an ankle injury. He will “see a lot of action,” Bengals insider Kelsey Conway revealed.

Stewart, 21, has struggled to adjust to the speed of the NFL so far in his career. In the games he’s played in before injuring his ankle in the Bengals’ Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, he’s recorded two total tackles.

He will look to help the Bengals get back in the win column for the first time in over a month.
