Among the players that the Indianapolis Colts had in for a workout on Monday was veteran cornerback Levi Wallace.
Wallace, who went undrafted in 2018, is an experienced player, appearing in 96 games, which includes making 72 starts, while playing over 4,800 career defensive snaps.
Wallace has played for Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Denver.
With Denver last season, Wallace played 308 defensive snaps over 13 games. He surrendered a completion rate of 70% on 27 targets at 14.8 yards per catch with one pass breakup.
For his career, however, Wallace’s completion rate is just 59% and he’s given up a modest 12.5 yards per catch, totaling 13 interceptions and 35 pass breakups, per PFF.
Most of Wallace’s snaps have come lined up outside, but he does have some nickel experience. That versatility is an important element in Lou Anarumo’s disguise-heavy defense.

The Colts continue to navigate injuries at cornerback. Wallace’s experience could help provide some stability there.
As of now, no signing is imminent, but he could be a practice squad candidate, giving the Colts the flexibility to have him available on game days if needed.
According to Jake Arthur, along with Wallace, offensive tackles Trey Wedig and Bayron Matos were in for workouts as well, as was safety Israel Mukuamau.
