Bears QB Caleb Williams reacts to Troy Aikman comments

Riding a three-game winning streak, the vibes and energy around the Chicago Bears franchise are incredibly high right now. Coming off a 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football, the Bears are responding to some of their critics, including ESPN commentator Troy Aikman.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was head coach Ben Johnson who referenced Aikman when he said some people weren’t happy with how the Bears were winning games, and now quarterback Caleb Williams is joining the party.

Williams took to his Instagram to share a victory post and appeared to take a shot at Aikman who called Williams’ touchdown pass a “lucky one” in Monday night’s game.

“It was lucky – TA,” Williams shared. Followed by: “WHOOPTIE DOO!” with a pair of laughing emojis.

In Monday night’s win, Williams completed 17-of-29 passes for 252 yards, one touchdown and no turnovers. He led two fourth-quarter scoring drives — where he’s at his best — including throwing a touchdown pass to D’Andre Swift and then taking advantage of a defensive takeaway and getting Chicago in a position for Jake Moody to boot the game-winning field goal.

While it’s one game at a time for the Bears, they’re clearly not afraid to respond to anyone who has taken their shots early in this season. Johnson has made a major impact on both the field and in the locker room for this Bears team, and they’re no longer just going to be a team that will be trampled on either on the field or in the media.
